  1. The new album from The Vines is amazing! Vision Valley is more like the bands first album Highly Evolved, what I mean by that is that there is a lot harder songs on the album then the bands 2nd cd Winning Days (but still an amazing album!). But for those fans who like the acoustic stuff as well there is plenty of that on this album/5(38).

  3. The trio recorded Vision Valley in a few small studios around Sydney, and the album has the back-to-basics sound of a band getting back on its feet again. The Vines have consolidated their strengths, sticking to their formula of wound-up, grungy rock and pretty, psych-tinged ballads.6/

Music publications such as Q and NME respectively gave the album 4/5 stars and 7/ Q had Vision Valley at number 69 in their Albums of Poll, dubbing the songs "superior grunge anthems". [citation needed] Entertainment Weekly gave the album a positive review and wrote "[Nicholls'] feral, melodic garage punk is refreshing".
