  4. The Notwist is one of my favorite bands, this is there first of 4 cd's they released. I started listening to them on there release of 12, an indie/post-rock album with very catchy melodies. This album however is very Heavy, it sounds like a clash between the old Metallica albums and the old Dinosaur Jr. albums.4/5(4).

  6. "Bored" ups the ante by upping the tempo and adding some scream-along vocals. Overall, it's a fun record, if fairly generic. The bulk of the album passes with a few memorable hooks, but nothing that would make it stand out from other hard rock records that were being made in Recommended only for the super-hardcore Notwist fans.

  9. The reason that this has such a low overall rating is, that the Notwist became well-known a few years later. So, most people judge this album only in retrospective and are shocked by the music they find here. In the beginning of their career the Notwist played something like melodic hardcore.
